This cabin, which we call Oakwood, is located alongside a babbling mountain stream. The covered deck in the rear overlooks the stream, and the picnic table, charcoal grill, and fire ring beside it. The front opens up to a grassy area. Oakwood is just a couple miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and is conveniently located to lots of outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. It is close to the Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park. Wintergreen Ski Resort is nearby, as is Sherando Lake, part of the George Washington National Forest.
