Russell Cave National Monument

3729 CR 98, Bridgeport, AL, US, 35740

Russell Cave, once home to prehistoric peoples, today functions as an archaeological site and historic monument, containing the most complete record of prehistoric cultures in the southeastern United States. The surrounding grounds are home to a museum, bookstore, and nature trails. Prehistoric tools and weapons demonstrations are available, and a Native American Festival takes place annually at the park. Dogs are allowed in the park but must remain on a leash at all times, and owners must clean up after their pets.
