For a fun day trip only ten minutes from downtown Phoenix, go to Hole in the Rock at Papago Park. The hike to the rock is an easy one, suitable for dogs and families, and ends at a fantastic place for a photo opportunity. The Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Garden are also in the park (although pets are not allowed in the zoo). Take a hike to Hole in the Rock with your dog and then enjoy a picnic for the whole family by the park’s fishing lagoon. Dogs must be leashed at all times.
