For a strenuous hike with your dog, try the 15.3 mile Pemberton Trail. This loop has an elevation change of 667 feet, and is a popular spot for mountain bikers and horseback riders. The trail is open from March until October, and there is an entrance fee of $6 per vehicle to get into the park. Make sure to bring plenty of water both for yourself and for Fido, as there is nowhere along the trail to refill your water. Dogs must be leashed at all times.
