McConnell State Recreation Area is dog-friendly. You are welcome to bring your pooch with you to enjoy the paved trails in the park as long as they are on a leash under 6 feet. The park is also home to some camping, picnic, and play areas. McConnell State Recreation Area is open every day of the week from 8am until sunset.
