Bodie State Historic Park

Bodie, CA-270, Bridgeport, CA, US, 93517

Bodie State Historic Park is a dog-friendly ghost town that was once filled with hopeful gold miners, and is now a reminder of the exciting times of the Californian Gold Rush of the mid 19th-century. Fido is welcome to join you in this state park but must be on a leash at all times. You can wander around the old buildings and think about William Bodey, who discovered small amounts of gold in the hills north of Mono Lake, and who the town was named after. Dogs are not allowed on the Stamp Mill tour or in the Museum and you should clean up any mess they make while on site. The park is open in the summer, April 1st to October 31st, from 9am to 6pm; and in the winter, November 1st to March 31st, from 9am to 4pm.
