Marshall Gold Discovery State Park is where the Gold Rush first started when Jame Marshall first saw specks of gold in the sawmill her was building. The park contains a replication of the sawmill and some of the buildings from the 1848 era. Your dog is welcome to join in on several of the hikes on the trails along the river. Dogs are also welcome to most of the events that occur outdoors. Please be sure they are on a leash and be prepared to clean up after your pooch. Please also be aware there is a parking fee and an entrance fee for your pup.
