Point Sal State Beach Trail is a difficult, 10.3 mile hike that will take about 5 hours to complete with Fido. This trail is a haven for bikers, hikers, and dogs to enjoy the beach. This solitude is thanks to the fact that the road to the beach was closed off in 1993 and the beach was never popular due to the lack of facilities. Enjoy the beach wilderness, but be aware that the riptides and undertow in the surf can be deadly. Occasionally this area is closed off due to military activity.
