Austin Creek State Recreation Area is dog-friendly on campsites, any parking lot, any picnic area, or on any paved road. Dogs are not permitted anywhere else at Austin Creek State Recreation Area. The park itself encompasses an isolated wilderness area, woodlands, rolling hills, and meadows, all right next door to Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve. The park is open from 8am until one hour after official sunset. The campsites in the area will require pre-booking and incur various charges depending on the size of your party.
