George J. Hatfield State Recreation Area is a dog-friendly state park. Located in the San Joaquin valley and surrounded by the Merced River, the park is home to a variety of trees, and various wildlife, especially birds. Visitors can enjoy swimming, fishing, and picnicking in the area. George J. Hatfield State Recreation Area is open from 8am to sunset.
