Dogs are welcome on the paved surfaces at Huntington State Beach. Unfortunately, Fido can't join you on the sand at this popular beach, but there are a few paved bike paths and trails that you can get Fido's much needed steps on. The beach itself is 121 acres and the main dog-friendly path stretches along a portion of this with a view of the sea in the distance. Dogs who long to feel the sand under their paws can try out Huntington Dog Beach, located just down the road. Huntington State Beach is open every day of the week from 6am to 10pm. Gates close at 9pm.
