Dogs are welcome at Bethany Reservoir State Recreation Area, where fishing and windsurfing are the most popular activities. If Fido isn't much for standing on a board, they don't have to be bored because you can wander the trails around the reservoir together, as long as they are leashed. Dogs may be allowed to take a dip in the water, but it's worth calling ahead first to double check and to find out the opening times on the specific day you'd like to visit.
