McCall Memorial Park is located in Mountain Center, 2 miles from the town of Idyllwild. McCall Memorial Park is an extraordinary park for its commitment to equestrian camping and is one of the few parks that center its attention on trails and open spaces for equestrians and their horses.
McCall Memorial Park has a long history starting with devoted equestrian and 5th District Supervisor, Fred McCall. McCall was an avid equestrian throughout his life and relentlessly supported several equestrian groups. In 1964, the park was renamed McCall Memorial Park in honor of his dedication and impact on many local equestrian groups.
McCall Memorial Park is still a favorite among local equestrian groups, as well as avid riders, because of the park?s several trails that meander through tall pine trees and the breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains. McCall Memorial Park allows for the perfect escape and has wonderful accommodations for horses, including spacious troughs, 53 lovely corrals, and 88 acres of wonderful open park space.
