Located a mile from the heart of downtown Nevada City, Hirschman Trail is a dog-friendly trail system, which provides hikers barrier-free access to Hirschman's Pond. Leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners as they hike through oak woodlands, pines, grasslands, and over a 40-foot long trestle that replicates the railroad and flume construction techniques of the late 1800s. The Trail is 2.4 miles one way, depending on the route taken. Dog owners can check out Hirschman Trail's official website for tips and information on accessing its trailheads.
