Occupying 1,146,000 acres of scenic mountain lands, Plumas National Forest is dog-friendly! Pets are allowed on-leash on trails and in developed recreation sites. They are not allowed in swimming areas. The park features deep canyons, mountain valleys, streams and lakes, meadows, and lofty peaks. Many of the activities at Plumas National Forest are free; however, some require fees or permits. Dog owners can check out Plumas National Forest's official website for more information.
