Shasta State Historic Park

15312 CA-299, Redding, CA, US, 96003

Shasta State Historic Park is a pet-friendly designated area that was at the hub of wagon travel in the mid-19th century. The town was renamed Shasta in 1850 and was right in the middle of the gold rush. Fido is welcome to join you as you are transported back to the yee-hawing times of yore, but they must remain on a leash under six feet long. Walk together along the roads next to a number of shops from yesteryear, including a blacksmiths. Shasta State Historic Park is open Thursday through Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
