Almaden Quicksilver County Park is a view of California's mining era history. With remnants from the latter part of the 19th century, you can look back in time at the mining operations of that day. Also, Spring offers the chance to see one of the most spectacular wildflower displays of the region. There are over 34.2 miles of hiking trails open to your pet also. Picnic tables are scattered throughout. Fishing is also available, but due to the accumulation of mercury in the reservoirs, the fish are unsafe to eat. Your dog must be on a 6' leash, and handlers must be at least 16 years old. Only two dogs per handler. Owners are responsible for pet care and clean up. Aggression is not tolerated. All dogs must wear proof of current license, rabies vaccination, and must not be in heat.
