China Camp State Park welcomes dogs on leashes at the campground and in the day use picnic areas, which also includes the beach. Unfortunately, like most parts of California, pets are not permitted on the trails at this state park. Other than Fido, there are lots of interesting animals in the area, including deer, squirrels, coyote, fox, bats, and a number of birds. The dog-friendly Miwok Meadows Picnic Area is home to BBQs, picnic tables, a horseshoe toss area, and chemical toilets. China Camp State Park is open from 8am to sunset.
