Michael Faklis Park has a special area dedicated to dogs. This park is located off I-5 and Eight Mile Road, in Spanos Park West near the Spanos Park West shopping Center. The park is toward the back side of the larger "human" areas, back near the baseball diamond. The space is split into two areas for different sized dogs. The areas have small plants but no large trees yet. Double gates, dog/human water fountain, and picnic benches make it welcoming. Ground drains well, making this a great winter park for the rainy season (not much mud!)
