Dogs are allowed to join you at certain areas of Barr Lake State Park. Pet owners should know that dogs are not permitted in the Wildlife Refuge located within the southern half of the lake, but they can join you on a number of the other pretty trails that surround the lake. Fans of fishing and boating can enjoy the calm waters at this destination, and bird spotters will be astounded by the 450 different varieties of birds that have been spotted in the area. There's a $7 fee for people who want to explore this picturesque park.
