This large park with 6 square miles of natural, open space is on the side of Smelter Mountain right in downtown Durango. A stone's throw from the DoubleTree and other dog-friendly hotels, this park is a place where dogs can play in the Animas River and run the trails while you enjoy a great hike. Public parking is located in a dirt lot on the corner of Hwy 160 and El Camino Rio.
