Located along the Uncompahgre River Recreation Trail in Cerise Park, The Montrose Dog Park is a 4.25-acre park with a mix of wild-land and turf areas. Within the fenced park perimeter, there are entryways or calming areas where owners can unleash their pet before letting them into a small dog or large dog area. At the Park's south entrance there is a water fountain for people and pets. The Park also features benches, picnic tables, trash cans, and dog bag dispensers. Licensed and vaccinated dogs with current identification tags are welcome. The park does not allow more than three dogs per owner, puppies younger than four months, dogs with a history of aggressive behavior, and female dogs in heat. The Montrose Dog Park is open from sunrise to sunset.
