Dogs are welcome at the picnic areas and on the hiking trails of Gillette Castle State Park. Although Fido can enjoy the trails that loop and wind around outdoor art exhibits and an historic historic estate that is reminiscent of a castle, you're not allowed to take them inside any of the buildings. Constructed by playwright and actor, William Hooker Gillette, the focal point of the whole area is the estate building. Gillette Castle State Park is open every day of the week from 8am until sunset.
