American Legion and Peoples State Forest is dog-friendly. You can bring Fido with you to enjoy the beautiful wooded areas and numerous trails as long as they are on a leash. If you're planning on staying overnight, one pet is permitted with each camping group. There are a number of popular pet-friendly trails in the area, including the Henry Buck Trail that climbs up cliffs and overlooks forests in the area. You can access American Legion and Peoples State Forest every day of the week from 8am until sunset.
