Dogs are allowed at Natchaug State Forest, where picnicking is popular among visitors. The name Natchaug comes from the term "between rivers" and in this case is referring to the location of the forest being between the Bigelow and Still Rivers. Your pooch can join you in the picnic areas and on the hiking trails at this park. The forest recreation areas are open every day of the week from 8 am until sunset.
