This park's significance arises from the large temple mounds inhabited by Indians from 350 to 750 A.D. Numerous outdoor activities are available; Fido will enjoy choosing from three trails that offer 5 miles of hiking opportunities. The park welcomes dogs as long as they are on a leash no longer than 6 feet; however, they are not permitted in or around historic sites, lodges, group camps, or swimming areas. Pet friendly camping options are also available.
