Fort King George Historic Site, the oldest remaining English fort in Georgia, is pet-friendly. They welcome your pooch into the park as long as they are on a leash under six feet. Unfortunately, Fido isn't allowed inside the historic buildings, the main attraction of the park, but they can join you on the nature trails around the area where you and your dog can get a real feel as to what life may have been like in the 18th century. The fee for adults attending the park is $7.50. Fort King George Historic Site is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9am to 5pm.
