This 38, 000- acre park is located on the northern end of Lake Lanier, offering boat ramps, a sand swimming beach, and 4 miles of multi-use trails for hikers and bikers. The park welcomes dogs as long as they are on a leash no longer than 6 feet; however, they are not permitted in or around historic sites, lodges, group camps, or swimming areas. For those looking for lodging options, two pets are allowed in select cottages with prior approval for a fee of $45. Pet friendly camping options are also available.
