Dogs are welcome at the Statesboro Downtown Dog Park. This brand new dog park is situated beside the dog-friendly Willie McTell Trail. The park spans 1.8-acres between east-west streets Cherry and Grady with a parking lot at Cherry Street. The dog park’s access point, on the trail, is also directly behind the Statesboro-Bulloch County Library’s back parking lot. This downtown dog park is split into two: a park for larger pooches and a park for little pups. There is a tunnel and a walk-over feature for dogs in each section. There are water fountains for parched dogs looking to hydrate and a pair of bench swings for humans looking to relax while their dog blows off some steam. Waste receptacles are also provided.
