Dogs are welcome to join their owners at Thousand Springs State Park. Located in an area of southern Idaho known as the Magic Valley, it won't take long for you and Fido to discover how it earned the name. Divided into a number of different sections, this state park is home to sections of the Oregon Trail and a stunning spot at the Malad Gorge for a picnic. Alternatively, you can hike around Box Canyon Nature Preserve and watch bald eagles in flight or stop for a break at Niagara Springs. The fee for entry into the area is $5 per vehicle. You can enter the park every day of the week from 7:30am to 4:00pm.
