Dogs are welcome to join their owners at Cache River State Natural Area. Three areas combine to make up this park: Little Black Slough, Lower Cache River Swamps, and Glass Hill. Little Black Slough is home to a boardwalk that slaloms through the heavily forested area surrounding the Upper River Cache, and is a great place to spot birds, reptiles, and a number of interesting animal species, including white-tailed deer, squirrels, raccoons, beavers, and foxes. There are more than 18 miles of trails to enjoy with Fido around the park, the smallest is just 250-feet in length, the Big Cypress Tree Trail; and the largest is five and a half miles, the Little Black Slough Trail.
