North Marcum Recreation Area is a boat-in area where boats can dock. There is a sandy beach, shower house and picnic area. Pets are allowed here although be aware that there can be quite a lot of people on weekends or weekday afternoons in the summer. Alcohol is also allowed here so it can take on a bit of a party scene, but the beach is big enough that typically we can find a spot to play fetch with the dog. Great in the mornings and during the off- season.
