Dogs are welcome at Shelbyville State Fish and Wildlife Area. This park can be found along the banks of the Kaskaskia and West Okaw Rivers and is made up of forests, prairies, restored grasslands, old fields, brush, wetlands, rivers, streams, and cropland. You'll also find Lake Shelbyville, an 11,000-acre man-made lake. The varied terrain of the parks and the stunning scenery make it the ideal park to explore with your pooch along the nature trails. You can bring Fido with you if they are on a leash under six feet.
