Dogs are welcome at Big River State Forest, home to the area's largest pine plantation. This 200-acre park offers a 60-mile network of trails. When they're not helping to prevent the spread of wildfire, the trails are perfect for dogs and their owners looking to explore the area, including the Big Pines Trail, a 3 and a half mile hike that includes the Lincolns Trail, Wilderness Trail, and Big Pines Trail. To cool down on hot days, you can also enjoy the picnic areas with water access. Fido can join you as long as they are on a leash under six feet.
