Dogs are welcome at Lake Murphysboro State Park. Around the lake, you'll discover rolling hills and luscious woods that are well worth exploring with your pooch. There's a three mile trail in the park that dogs and their owners can use to discover the interesting wildlife and varied plant life. Alternatively, you can check out one of the several paths that criss-cross through the park's wooded hills. Remember, dogs must be kept on a leash under six feet for the duration of their visit.
