Dogs are welcome at Nauvoo State Park. The name comes from the Hebrew word for beautiful place or pleasant land. Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, this 148-acre park is home to a 13-acre lake with a mile-long shoreline. The main trail in the park is Locust Lane, a 1.5 mile trail that winds around the lake and through wooded areas, perfect for pooches looking to explore. Additionally, there are a couple of popular picnic spots with nice views to enjoy too.
