Dogs are welcome at Delabar State Park. This pet-friendly, 89 acre park is forested with sturdy oaks, along with some birch and hickory trees to offer shady walks on sunny days. Along with more than 50 different types of bird for keen ornithologists to spy, a number of animals also call the park their home: squirrel, rabbit, raccoon, deer, groundhog, and quail. There are two marked trails that weave through a couple of miles of woodland in the area, ideal for dogs and their owners who love nature and wildlife. You'll also discover three different picnic areas to stop at and chow down on a treat with Fido.
