Dogs are welcome at James Pate Philip State Park, a 501-acre park made up of prairies and wetlands. Dogs and their owners are only allowed to wander the trail that loops around the park. This popular trail can be used by bikers and dog walkers alike, so be careful for people on two-wheels. Fido must be on a leash under ten feet when on the trail. The park is open every day of the week from one hour after sunrise to one hour after sunset.
