The Forest Preserve District of Will County's 7-acre fenced Hammel Woods Dog Park provides an exercise area where dogs can run free. A shelter and benches provide comfort for the canines' human companions. A permit is required for use of the Dog Park. Other amenities at Hammel Woods include multi-purpose trails, campsites, picnic shelters, and access to the DuPage River for canoeing/kayaking and fishing.
