This is a great trail for dog owners. It is about 2 miles with plenty of trees and shade throughout. Deer spotting and wildlife of many kinds are common. It is also right next to the new Sangamon Valley Trail near Harrison Park, Lutheran High School, etc. Dogs should usually be on leash, unless your pup displays good recall and leaves bicyclists alone.
