Dogs are welcome at Red Hills State Park, home to a popular 40-acre lake that is great for boating and fishing. Around the lake and beyond, the wildflowers and fall foliage are spectacular to view throughout the year, and can be explored on the eight miles of refreshing, scenic trails that wind through the trees next to the water. Ornithologists can marvel at the pretty colored birds that call the park home, including redheaded woodpeckers, blue jays, and goldfinches. While you're wandering around the area, you'll discover a number of picnic areas with views of the woods and water.
