Des Plaines State Fish and Wildlife Area is dog-friendly. Fido is welcome to join you on the trails that wind around the flowing rivers and natural prairie land in this 5,000-acre park. With over 200 acres of water in the park, there are plenty of angling and recreational opportunities. The scenery is made up of farmland, woodland, swampland, and prairie. For dogs who prefer to remain firmly on dry land, there are a number of picnic spots with views over the water.
