Dogs are allowed Shakamak State Park. This pet-friendly park is home to three man-made lakes and some shaded camping areas. There are seven different hiking trails located at the park, each one varying in difficulty and taking in different views. Most of the trails will lead you through the woods and alongside the water. Pets are welcome as long as they are on a leash under six feet. Owners are reminded to pick up any waste that their pooches leave behind. The park is open every day of the week from 7am to 11pm.
