Dogs are welcome at Raccoon Lake State Recreation Area, where forest and rocky outcrops line the banks of Big Raccoon Creek. The lake is hugely popular among recreational boat users and anglers, but Fido can also join you on dry land to explore the interesting surroundings of the lake on the trails that vary in difficulty and length from 0.8 miles to 2.1 miles. Due to the wildlife in the area, pet owners are reminded to keep Fido on a leash for the duration of their visit and must always clean up after their pooch.
