Located in the heart of the Des Moines Metro area, Gray's Lake Park is a dog-friendly spot to take a stroll. The 167-acre Park features a 1.9-mile lit trail, which encircles the lake. Gray's Lake encourages guests to "venture off of the trail" and fish, canoe or sail. Dogs are not allowed on the designated swimming beach. Pets must be cleaned-up after during their visit. Pet waste stations are located every half mile along the trail, as well as at the beach and Overlook Terrace parking lots. Gray's Lake Park's hours vary seasonally, so guests should call ahead or check its website before planning their outing.
