Dogs are welcome at Dolliver Memorial State Park. Located on the Des Moines River, the park features high bluffs and deep ravines to explore with your pooch. One of the main trails in the park will take you out past the Copperas Beds, interesting sandstone formations that tower above Prairie Creek. The trail then continues up into oak covered hillsides and back down past Bone Yard Hollow. There are a number of other trails that take you out to the Indian Mounds and up more wooded hillsides. Dogs are allowed to join their owners around the park, but they must be on a leash for the duration of their visit.
