Off-leash dogs are welcome on the trails and the section of shoreline in the day-use area and a campers-only area near the west campground. South Higgins Lake State Park contains almost one mile of shoreline along Higgins Lake, which is a large spring-fed body of water known for its clarity and fishing potential.
