Stahl Peak Lookout Trail is a 7 mile hike in Kootenai National Forest that will take about 4 hours to complete with Fido. This trail lies in a beautiful 7,000 acre national forest that is surrounded by another 33,000 acres of high country. The whole area is being considered for inclusion into the federal wilderness system because of its alpine lakes, tall peaks, meadows, old-growth forest, and resident grizzly bears.
