Madame Sherri Forest is a dog friendly forest that spans 513 acres. Inside the forest, you'll find an information kiosk, historic ruins, a pond, and hiking trails. The Madame Sherri Castle ruins are a stunning spot to snap a few pictures with your pooch. While you're there, you can take The Indian Pond Trail to a beautiful mountain lake where Fido can cool off. Another popular hiking trail is Ann Stokes Loop, a two mile trail that takes in views of Chesterfield and Indian Pond. The best time of year to visit is Fall, when Fido can crunch through the leaves as the trees around you take on an array of vivid colors.
