Otis Pike at Fire Island Trail is an easy, 7 mile hike in Fire Island National Seashore that will take about 3 hours to complete with Fido. This trail provides a wonderful opportunity for your pup to enjoy the sandy beach and waves in the off season, from Labor Day through March 15. DUE TO DAMAGE from Hurricane Sandy you can no longer use the ferry to make the loop. Another section of the trail may be inaccessible please call first. This 7 mile hike can be done end to end utilizing the ferry until the end of October. After the ferry stops for the season it becomes a 14 mile out and back trip.
